The founding member of G&M Realty Ventures, LLC, Jay C. Mancini, is fully involved in all aspects of the firm’s management and administration.

Jay C. Mancini


Prior to founding G&M Realty Ventures, LLC, Mr. Mancini held senior positions with large real estate development companies including Campeau Corporation California, Perini Land and Development Company, and Bramalea Pacific. The scope of his assignments with these companies included the development of two successful mixed-use projects: Rincon Center, San Francisco; and City Center, Oakland; and Executive Park, San Francisco, an office development

Mr. Mancini formed his own firm in 1990, and created a multi-disciplinary advisory services practice, which leveraged his development expertise in managing virtually every real estate consulting discipline that could be employed to solve complicated real estate issues.

Mr. Mancini was one of the three major authors of the Presidio of San Francisco Implementation Strategy. He and a team of professionals were then hired to implement the Plan by the National Park Service. Mr. Mancini has also been an Advisor to the San Francisco Giants, BART, SAMTRANS, Golden Gate University and numerous other clients.

During this period of providing Advisory Services, Mr. Mancini was also active in the acquisition and development of commercial property.

Mr. Mancini is a Wharton School MBA graduate with an undergraduate BA from Lawrence University. He also served as a Marine Corps infantry officer in both infantry and long range patrol units during the Vietnam conflict.

Roderick J. Roche

Roderick J. Roche

Roderick J. Roche is an accomplished real estate professional with over 25 years of experience in real estate development in both private and public sectors.  Prior to joining G&M Realty Ventures, LLC, Mr. Roche held a variety of senior leadership positions and provided oversight and management of major commercial real estate projects.  He represented the San Francisco Giants as Project Manager for the Pacific Bell Park Development (now AT&T Park), and served as Director of Construction Management for the San Francisco Fillmore Heritage Center, a mixed-use commercial entertainment, luxury condominium, and public parking garage development.  Earlier in his career, he worked for Perini Land & Development on the Resort at Squaw Creek Development and the San Francisco Rincon Center mixed use development.

Mr. Roche is skilled in partnering and directing contractors, architects, engineers, designers and other specialty consultants.  He has a strong business acumen and has expertise in negotiating contracts, administering construction loan draws, managing costs and schedules, controlling budgets, and providing quality control oversight while executing through the project delivery process.  He has a diverse real estate, project, and construction management background in industrial, office, residential, retail and renewable energy.

Mr. Roche holds an M.B.A and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and from Saint Mary’s College of California.

He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Bishop O’Dowd High School and volunteers his time coaching youth basketball.

Mr. Roche is a member of several professional organizations, including SPUR.

Seasoned professional involved in the construction industry for over 20 years with increasing responsibility. Extensive experience includes Corporate Controls, Project and Construction Management and Owner’s Representation. Including; implementation and management of corporate controls systems, construction of new buildings/ tenant improvements, seismic/structural upgrades, renovations, civil projects, LEED construction and historic preservation. Project Experience includes construction and improvements of office, retail, hospitality, libraries, OSHPD, water/wastewater and senior care facilities.

Specialties: I bring strong project management skills, including cost/budget management, scheduling and value engineering. I spent 12 years of my career as a construction manager this brings added value to projects with my awareness of owner issues. I have a proactive management style, know how to focus on the important critical issues to move a project successfully along

Solution-oriented, hands-on real estate consultant with over 25 years in development management, market and feasibility analysis, land use entitlement, and project management. Experienced on technically difficult, infill sites of large projects with complex entitlements. Uses include residential, mixed use-planned communities, office, industrial, and senior housing. Margy's clients have included institutional investors, private development companies, and non-profits.

Responsible from due diligence analysis, development economics, acquisition, raising capital, financing, project and construction management through to marketing and sales or leasing. Has managed over $225 million of direct costs. With a commitment to excellence and strategic thinking, she works to drive quality in all her work. She exhibits a strong work ethic, is an energetic and gracious team player, an effective communicator at the intersection of the public, private, and government sectors, and is dedicated to building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues. She has a passion for using her skills to create value for companies and organizations whose products and services result in more sustainable communities.
